I have added Great Lakes Collagen to my morning chai (tea) for over two years and I don’t want to live without it. My skin, hair, nails, connective tissues and gums are stronger and healthier than they were when I was young. I read recently that we should get 1/3 of our protein daily as collagen, since the unique amino acid combo is hard to obtain from plant food or meats, eggs and dairy. The amino acid Glycine is abundant in collagen, and is vitally important for many surprising reasons. It supports a calm mood and improved sleep through conversion to GABA. Vegans have no natural source of glycine in their diet which may explain why so many feel nervous and have impaired sleep. IMO, all of us would be healthier from adding a few scoops of collagen to our daily diet. This one is a great choice due to its quality and availability in a bulk size for value. I’m a subscriber.

I’ve officially been using this collagen product for one year. This one was tecommended as they are more conscientious about clear cutting practices etc. if this is true, I am not clear.I started to use this product to try to amend my always brittle, dry, and breaking hair. Also, I am finding that my age is starting to show in my skin, so I decided to increase my collagen and protein intake.I tend not to eat breakfast so having this in my morning coffee allows me to break my fast with protein.I have seen some increase in quality of my nails. A little bit in my skin, but definitely in my hair. My hair seems to go faster than it used to and I’m no spring chicken!The powder mixes extremely well, no matter what I put it in iced coffee, hot coffee, or just plain water. Although I like to put it in something with flavor because it does have a little bit of a different taste to it. Which you do not taste when you put it in liquids that are already flavored.
