Did not as well as the off brand for me!
For the cost I was really not that impressed. Smelled ok, but did not lather. Felt like I had to use half the bottle for just one application. Still had some grey hairs not covered! It left my hair feeling super rough and brittle! I had to go deep condition my hair afterwards. I’m talking my brush didn’t even want to go through it! I decided to try this after using a cheaper off brand, but honestly the off brand colored my hair much better and left my hair way softer!

I found the PolarHair product easy to use and colored my hair beautifully. I left the product in my hair for about 14 minutes which is a bit longer than recommended as I felt the additional time would provide better coverage. I was very pleased with the results after the product was rinsed out and would recommend this product to others who are looking to cover their gray hair for a more youthful look.

This product is not what it says! I colored my hair and it did not cover the gray. So I tried again in about a week and same thing – it did not cover. I left it on a little longer the second time and it made no difference. Also it started to turn my hair red. Because I bought it on Amazon the company will not help me.I will never buy there products again – they are not reputable and not honest about the products.

My grays barely turned blonde from the medium brown color I bought
Doesn’t work the way it’s described. I got the medium brown color. First time didn’t do anything. I figured user error, I must not have done it right. Second time I mixed it in my hand until it was the same color throughout (solid brown) and applied it to my gray hair. Washed it out and my grays were barely a blonde color. Ok. Thought that maybe the color needed to be built up over time like some of the color depositing shampoos. So I did it a third time & my grays stayed the same blonde color as the second time. Not even a little darker, and definitely not brown or anything close to it. Not worth it. I used over half the bottle to have my grays get blonde when I have darker brown hair 😒 Just get regular hair dye and save your money.

if you have white or silver it won’t color well
I’m not sure why they call it a dye shampoo, you put it on “dry” hair. You might as well get a regular dye if you think this will save you time. It was difficult to get an even coat over my hair. It did not give a medium brown as advertised. Although it did color my hair, it was not a medium brown, more like a light mousey brown, Yuck! I ended up having to spend more money on a different “dye shampoo” that worked brilliantly… wish I would have start there. It cost $10 wholesale vs. high price and low results. I only gave it 3 stars because it did add color, just not what I wanted and the application was difficult.

Wonderful product!!
This product is so much better for your hair and scalp, then using hair dye with peroxide, ammonia or bleach. My hair is softer and my scalp is healthy again!This is my second order of Polar hair dye. I got 2 dyes out of of the first bottle. Now I just dye the roots, so I will probably get 3 touch ups with this bottle.

Disappointed with product
My experience was not great. I had to use almost the whole bottle to cover all of my long hair. Its about to my shoulder blades.Did not cover much of my grays and ones it did were just lightly tinted. Im only gray on sides of my head and few on top.For the amount it cost and performance I do not recommend if you have long hair and want fuller coverage.I followed instructions and left on a full 12 minutes after I had fully applied and rinsed with warm water in shower. I used my normal conditioner after.

Easy to apply
I liked the product — it provided good coverage, especially for the gray at my roots. I left it on a bit longer than recommended, and it didn’t have a strong chemical smell; instead, it had a more natural, organic earthy scent. It did lather on semi wet hair after a wash , put on a plastic conditioning cap for extra measure however my scalp overall felt a little sensitive during the process , but once I rinsed it out, everything felt fine. Unfortunately, my hair looked a bit dry afterward. Adding conditioner or moisturizer can help, but with a semi-permanent color, that might cause the product to fade more quickly.
