Love, love, love. This sunscreen is fantastic! I wish this was around when I was in my teens, 20’s & 30’s because then I would have worn sunscreen & not have developed the signs of aging & hyperpigmentation that currently are the bane of my existence!This sunscreen is ideal for those who have oily skin, have acne, oily skin, do not like the heaviness sunscreen or get breakout because of sunscreen or have problems with the white cast left by mineral sunscreen.I have all the above problems of oily skin, breakout with a lot of sunscreens, have dealt with the white cast of other sunscreens because I have medium to tan olive skin.I have to say, I was worried when I first squeezed the product out of the tube because it comes out in a pale green shade. I thought “Uh-Oh.”Hero Force Shield goes on without a color or coverage, but the back of the tube says that the green tint to their sunscreen helps to balance out any redness in your complexion.But when I applied this to my face and gently rubbed in (does not require vigorous rubbing into your face) the green tint of this sunscreen disappeared, left a nice, lightweight & breathable finish. It worked nicely with my lightweight makeup application.I have LOTS of different kinds of sunscreen. I am embarrassed to say that I probably have close to 20 different sunscreens just for my face as I am always on the quest to find the perfect sunscreen (I realize perfect is subjective). This is one of most inexpensive facial sunscreens that I have purchased. Of my collection of facial sunscreen, only Australian Gold is cheaper than this. My collection of facial sunscreens range in price from $7 to $75.Hero Force Shield would be perfect IMHO if only it was spf 50. But that is just my personal preference. Most dermatologist say an Spf 30 is sufficient.I will continue to use & repurchase thisBy the way, it has a lovely matte finish but is not drying….it feels moisturizing without being heavy or greasy.I do not think this is waterproof or sweatproof so probably not ideal for a day at the beach.Anyway, if are looking for a lightweight, breathable sunscreen that works well with or without makeup & does not cause acne breakouts, I recommend that you try this!

Lightweight, No White Cast, and My Skin Loves It!
Finally! a sunscreen that doesn’t feel like sunscreen! The Force Shield Superlight Sunscreen is exactly what I’ve been searching for. It glides on effortlessly, feels super light on the skin, and best of all,no greasy residue and absolutely no white cast. It layers perfectly under makeup or on bare skin, and I love that it’s fragrance-free and designed for sensitive or acne-prone skin. My skin actually feels calm and protected, not smothered.It’s become a daily essential in my routine, especially because it doesn’t clog pores or cause breakouts like so many others I’ve tried. Hero Cosmetics really nailed it with this one.

It’s a good product. It reduces redness. The redness reducing effect comes from green pigments and possibly some other ingredients. It’s kind of like a foundation in a sunscreen. It’s mattfying but slightly drying because it’s a mineral sunscreen. I like it. I’ve bought it twice and would repurchase. Great for reducing redness. I didn’t add 5 stars because it does produce a white cast and it drying so still no perfect sunscreen. Maybe one day I will find the perfect sunscreen. Until then, this is my go to, and it’s pretty great.

Extremely lightweight and no rash!
Had to switch to a mineral based sunscreen due to developing a rash from chemical sunscreens. I needed something extremely lightweight for my face and neck. After trying multiple brands, this one is the lightest one that goes on like lotion and doesn’t give a white cast or give me rash. It has a very light green tint (supposedly to blur redness) that disappears when applied. Once it’s on, I can’t feel any heaviness or stickiness and I absolutely love it.I’m now using this on my whole body because heavier mineral sunscreens end up everywhere if my hands touch my legs and then I touch an another object (glasses, furniture, car window etc).

Quite possibly THE perfect sunscreen
I can’t believe I’m saying this, but after more than 50 years, I finally have a sunscreen that doesn’t hurt my eyes! Literally all sunscreens I have ever tried have caused my eyes to burn and water, simply from close proximity. My skin is incredibly sensitive, but my eyes are even more so. If your skin and/or eyes are extremely sensitive, this sunscreen is for you! I will absolutely be purchasing it again. I’m telling you, I make sure I apply this sunscreen right up to my lower eyelids, and still no irritation.I can’t say whether the green tint helps with redness, but it does enhance the ability to see that the product has been thoroughly applied. The tint becomes invisible on my super pale skin ones it’s absorbed.As for wearing this sunscreen under makeup, I do it all the time, and it never interferes with the look of my foundation or tinted moisturizer. In fact, I don’t even use a makeup primer on a lot of days, because this sunscreen seems to help with the “grip” of makeup. However, my skin is dry and mature, so I’m not certain that oilier complexions will find it to be as primer-like.

Pilling skin, sloughing
Adding this sunscreen to my daily routine caused a ridiculous amount of skin sloughing. No complaints about anything else, but I can’t keep using it based on the peeling it caused. I’ve never had something like this happen before. I have fair, sensitive skin and use benzoyl peroxide and retinol regularly.The lotion is very lightweight and absorbs quickly, leaving a low-gloss finish. It doesn’t have a distinct smell. The green did not help with redness. If it weren’t for the sloughing issue, I would consider a repeat purchase. As is, I will not be buying this again.

Helpful and does not make me break out
Feels great on top of regular moisturizer, not greasy or sticky or heavy at all. I have very acne prone skin and have been seeing a dermatologist to develop an acne-control regimen (I use retinoids and clindamycin) and I started using Hero sunscreen in the mornings on top of Cetaphil daily moisturizer. I feel like it helps protect my skin from the sun and absolutely does not make me break out. Try it!
