I’ve been using the Mario Badescu Drying Lotion on and off for a couple years now, and honestly, it’s one of the few skincare products that consistently works for me. Anytime I feel a pimple forming or see one starting to surface, I dab a little on before bed, and more often than not, it’s either gone or significantly reduced by morning.It’s not some miracle overnight fix for every kind of breakout, but it works best on whiteheads or those little surface-level pimples. You definitely have to follow the instructions don’t shake the bottle! Just dip a cotton swab straight into the pink sediment at the bottom and dab it on. It dries quickly and smells a bit like rubbing alcohol, but I don’t mind it.I will say it can be drying if you use it too often or on the same spot repeatedly, so I usually pair it with a good moisturizer the next day. Overall, it’s just a great spot treatment to have on hand. The drying lotion is a must-have AND WORKS!
If you have a pimple that needs to be dried up quickly, this works incredibly well. The bottom layer of the bottle reminds me of the old fashioned pink calamine lotion that used to be used on chicken pox and poison ivy, with the clear layer being something like rubbing alcohol. My only complaint is that the bottle is a bit too tall for a Q-tip/cotton swab, so I can see myself losing one in it and not being able to get it out.The product does exactly what it’s supposed to do, so expect that anything it’s applied to WILL be dried out.The patches work like any other pimple patch, and totally meet expectations, but the drying lotion is the MVP here. I don’t know that I’d use them in combination – I feel the patches are for minor annoyances, while the drying lotion is suited for moderate-to-epic situations that you want to banish quickly and will deal with the flaky skin as it happens.So long as I have to deal with pimples, I’ll keep this drying lotion in my medicine cabinet, it’s fantastic stuff!

Mario Badescu’s Drying Lotion definitely looks like it should pack a punch — it’s loaded with salicylic acid, sulfur, and zinc oxide, so I expected a fast, heavy-hitting spot treatment. The formula has a really strong, almost medicinal smell (not exactly pleasant, but it makes you feel like it’s “doing something”).That said, for all the actives in here, the results weren’t as dramatic as I hoped. It helps a little with calming down surface blemishes, but it doesn’t magically erase them overnight or stop new ones from forming. With this much going on in the bottle, I thought it would be more effective. Decent to have on hand, but definitely not a cure-all. It does flake a bit overnight and you have to sleep on your back or else it might rub off on your pillow cases. FWIW it often gets mixed up in the bottle and you have to let it settle back into two parts. Lasts a long time, but I think they advertise this (even in the product name) as this magic bullet that clears you up overnight. It helps for sure, but not an overnight cure-all.

Since I turned 40 years old three years ago I have suffered with really bad cystic acne. So bad I couldn’t leave the house. I tried EVERYTHING. I had been on Vyvanse for ADHD for several years. I looked like I belonged on The Faces of Meth. I quit the med cold turkey. 6 weeks later I had my face back. I am still off meds, but my good luck only lasted 3 months. Last week I woke up and my entire face was COVERED in red bumps. My forehead alone made me cry. I had nothing left to try. I got on to Amazon and found this product. I have used 90% isopropyl on my face & calamine lotion as well, so I wasn’t sure if this would work. But I was desperate. It arrived the following day. The first few times I applied with a q-tip. I pulled half of the cotton off cuz I didn’t want to waste it. I wasn’t getting the coverage I wanted, and I had A LOT to cover. So I took an eyedropper and sucked up the sediment and gently squeezed the bulb of the eyedropper over my entire face. I rubbed it into my face each time with clean fingers. I went to bed. When I woke up I couldn’t believe it. The bumps had all gone down and the redness was GONE. I still have tiny little scabs, but they aren’t swollen, they no longer hurt and you can’t really see them with the redness gone. I am SO grateful I stumbled on this. I read tons of reviews and as always there were lots of negative reviews. There always is. Not every product works for everyone. Lucky for me it did an incredible job!!! It’s well worth the $20 to try it. I highly recommend giving it a chance.

Il prodotto arriva nella busta rigida di cartone Amazon chiusa in una bustina di pluriball, integro. Il piccolo flaconcino è di vetro con tappo a vite di plastica. E’ come “diviso” in due parti, sotto una parte rosa più solida, sopra una parte liquida trasparente. IL PRODOTTO NON VA AGITATO per l’utilizzo.Come si usa:intengere un cotton fioc o un pennellino direttamente sul fondo del flaconcino e prelevare solo una puntina di prodotto, picchiettarlo sull’imperfezione, non sull’intero viso. Poi pulire bene il pennellino e ripetere sulle altre imperfezioni.Lo scopo del prodotto:far seccare i brufoli: è veramente quello che succede quindi non li fa sparire dalla sera alla mattina, ma messo sull’imperfezione, la fa seccare quindi al mattino, al posto del brufolo infetto, trovarete il segno dello stesso ma sgonfio e senza più il pus. Questo è quello che è successo sia a me, che ho 40 anni e un acne leggero in età adulta, che sulle imperfezioni da pelle adolescenziale di mia figlia.La fragranza non mi è piaciuta, è un pò pungente.Nella descrizione riporta: formulato con acido salicilico, zolfo e ossido di zinco.Lo uso solo quando spunta qualche brufoletto, quindi non ogni giorno e trovo molto bene.
