After years of neglect, I’ve started focusing on taking better care of my skin, and I’ve discovered that Korean beauty products can be a good value for at-home skincare. Recently, I developed dark blemishes on my cheeks and hoped this product might help them fade. I ordered the “White Mastic Ampoule Cream” by MASTINA because it claims to address both hydration and dark spots.The tube looked larger than I expected given that it contains 40 ml, which is about 1.3 ounces. Both the box and the tube are labeled with an expiration date. I ordered the cream in Aug 2025, and the expiration date is Sept 2027. The tube has a twist cap and a foil seal, which likely helps ensure freshness.I wasn’t sure what to expect from a skincare product containing mastic. The cream has a faint scent that is subtle. I detect a mix of astringent, floral, and citrus aromas. I tend to be fragrance sensitive, but this product did not cause any irritation. The texture has some body while still feeling light. It spreads smoothly, absorbs quickly, and does not leave a greasy or tacky residue. I’ve been layering it under my regular moisturizer, since I don’t think it provides quite enough hydration on its own.One thing I noticed is that the whitening effect of the mastic leaves an unusual tone on my skin. I’m fair-skinned with natural red highlights in my hair, and without makeup the cream makes my skin look slightly sallow. I’ve only been using it for about a week, so it’s too soon to tell if it will help my dark spots fade, but I that effect may take longer to appear.Overall, I like the cream. If it’s effective at reducing dark spots over time, I would consider ordering it again.

Effective for dark spots and blemishes
It has great moisturizing properties but isn’t heavy and absorbs quickly. The texture is slightly yellow and doesn’t run, but it absorbs quickly without feeling heavy. There’s a slight fragrance. Since I have oily skin, I tend to feel a bit oily in the morning after sleeping, but it’s not too bad. It also has a whitening effect that helps with dark spots and blemishes, which makes it perfect for use now as the sun gets stronger.

Medium weight; very moisturizing; some great ingredients but also fragrance
This is a medium weight cream that provides some hydration and lots of moisturization to my skin. It leaves an oily residue behind, which I appreciate because I have dry skin. I use this cream after my hydrating serums and it does an excellent job of holding in the hydration. My skin feels soft and deeply moisturized and the effect lasts for hours. I love that this cream contains brightening ingredients, including niacinamide, tranexamic acid, arbutin, and glutathione. I have a couple stubborn dark spots which seem to appear slightly lighter after a month of use, but it’s a pretty subtle change. The only negative for me is that this product contains artificial fragrance as well as natural fragrance ingredients (limonene and linalool) which means that I can’t use this product around my eyes or when my skin barrier is compromised. Also, the fragrance doesn’t smell very good (it reminds me of pine) but thankfully it isn’t a strong scent. I included a photo of the full ingredient list so that potential buyers can evaluate the ingredients themselves.
