Beginner strength but no values listed
I really wish Neutrogena would say exactly how much retinol is in this moisturizer. All the ingredients list. It’s near the bottom so I’m assuming it’s not a lot.When I first got this product it it had a different label than what’s listed now. This product is apparently beginner strength. Whatever that means. I’m not a stranger to retinol, especially higher doses. This is a very light dose. There is not a lot in here, so if you’re highly sensitive to retinol this could be a good solution.It’s not fragrance free. It smells like clean laundry in my opinion. I do find it to be a bit silky. I’m not sure how to describe it. It’s not quite oily on my skin. It’s quite slippery and silky feeling. It does take a bit for it to absorb into my skin. I do think that as a moisturizer it is really good and I like that. As a retinol I can’t really say that I’m seeing any difference, my fine lines and dark spots after weeks of use.The Neutrogena hydro boost hydrating gel cleanser is phenomenal. I love it. I’ve used this in the past and I only have good things to say. It really cleans the skin and my skin also feels really hydrated after using it.

My first dealings with Retinol
So far I’ve been applying this for 2 weeks and I would say that I have had no bad reactions and it goes on my skin quite well. It has a nice creamy texture to it. A subtle scent but not too strong and I really appreciate the little gel cleaner that it comes with as a bonus. I feel like there has been a bit of an improvement on my cheek area, but I think I will keep using this for a while before I can make it true statements. However, as of now it is very promising and I think it is worth trying out

I was a bit disappointed. A though my skin feels good after application, I have not seen any visible improvement in the look of my skin a yet as of several weeks of use. Still as many lines and discolored spots. However, it is a good moisturizer. Guess my expectations were unreal.

Rich, hydrating night cream
This Neutrogena Rapid Wrinkle Repair Night Cream set really impressed me. While the included Hydro Boost facial cleanser is more of a small bonus sample, the real star here is the retinol night cream. It goes on silky smooth, feels rich without being greasy, and leaves my skin feeling soft and supple – especially on my forehead, where I tend to notice dryness most. I have very dry, sometimes sensitive skin, and this didn’t cause any irritation or redness, which is a big deal for a retinol product. I do wish the packaging listed the retinol concentration, but so far it seems effective and worth continuing. The fact that it’s paraben-free and feels luxurious on the skin makes it a product I’ll likely stick with long term.
