    Soothing for a coughing throad
Very soothing to a coughing throat. Start it early!

    Singers! Amazing product!
I’ve been singing for years and I belt – normally I’m hoarse the day after a show. I woke up this morning and it feels like I didn’t sing at all the night before. This is magic sauce. I’ve heard others testament that it makes them perform better – I can’t say for sure. But feeling 100% the next day – is priceless and that has never happened with other products. Just for reference I swigged straight from the bottle – this stuff is molasses thick and has a pleasant honey/herbal taste.

    Very soothing
For myself this works great when I feel my throat feeling irritated. Instead of putting this in a tea I just take a tablespoon. Its thick and taste like licorice. Very soothing.

    Must have in your cuboard
This is the magical “Ancient Chinese Secret”! Beyond using it as a cough syrup to help sooth your throat, you can put a teaspoon of it in some hot water and drink it both as a curative and as a preventative medicinal tea!The flavor is distinctively unique, and the most pleasant chinese medicine I’ve ever had. It has a sweet and mentholly taste. This is a must-have for our household! Doesn’t matter if its summer or winter, we keep ourselves stocked to make sure it is always on hand! I really like the paper insert that shows you all the herbs used to make it. Once you open it, you can still keep it in your cupboard or on the counter – no refrigeration required — but it can get very sticky, so make sure to wipe the bottle down often!

    Loaded with Sugar…
Normally I read labels very carefully, but, even with my reading glasses, the label information on the image shown on this sales page was crowded and tiny. “Sugar: 11g” didn’t show up clearly so I didn’t see it when I ordered. I only noticed that “Sugar” was included in the “Other Ingredients” and assumed it would be a small amount to mask the taste of the herbs. Remember, in the U.S., ingredients must be listed based on the amount of each ingredient, with the highest content amounts listed first. So I’ll admit to not paying enough attention. However, after only two doses I’m returning it. The syrup is thick and loaded with sugar. I always brush my teeth after ingesting anything with sugar, but even though you are swallowing this syrup, it still travels to your mouth and coats the tooth enamel and is hard to brush off. I protect my teeth so that’s one reason I won’t use it. The purpose of medicine is to heal – I don’t want or need my medicine to be candy! Especially natural medicine. (And by the way, I think I had noticed this company makes lozenges as well – those of you who also care about your teeth and gums – beware). So related to the sugar content is the taste. I couldn’t stand it. It’s just too sweet. But then, I eat natural foods and don’t eat junk food and candy. A natural herbal cough and throat syrup could easily be lightly sweetened with many other options: stevia, agave, monk fruit, erythritol, etc. But 11 grams of sugar is defeating the whole purpose of a natural remedy and doesn’t benefit healing in my opinion. As for effectiveness, there was no benefit for me. But then I didn’t have a cough and I’m guessing this is more of a cough syrup than throat remedy. I developed a sore throat from a long recording session (speaking, not singing) and I had ordered other products from Amazon that were better suited to me.My two thousand cents 🙂

Taste is not great but exceptable. It seems to make me feel better almost instantly. My cousin thinks it is the greatest thing since slice bread
