First Impression and Researched ingredients
This powder just arrived this morning (less than 24 hours after I ordered it!) and I haven’t tried it yet, but I wanted to leave an initial review based on my first impressions and ingredient research.I ordered this chicken broth protein powder because I was looking for something savory and high in protein — this one has 19g of protein per serving and offers 20 servings total. I’m really impressed with how clean the ingredient list is for a broth-based powder. I did some research after reading another person’s review to better understand the ingredients, and here’s a quick breakdown for anyone else curious:⸻Ingredients Breakdown — What’s What:Main Protein Sources:• Chicken broth protein powder: This is usually made by dehydrating chicken broth — rich in collagen and amino acids. Not bad at all!• Fermented corn protein: A plant-based protein source that’s often easier to digest. This is fine.• Egg yolk powder: Adds protein and flavor; it’s higher in fat, but not harmful in small amounts.Flavor & Texture Add-ins:• Natural flavor, mixed flavor: Vague terms — generally safe, but could include a blend of spices, herbs, or extracts.• Onion powder, garlic powder, spices: All good — these just enhance the savory taste.• Gum arabic: A natural thickener/fiber. Not harmful and commonly used.• Yeast extract: Natural umami flavor (like what’s in bouillon cubes); contains glutamates but not the same as MSG.• Maltodextrin: A carbohydrate filler; it’s not harmful but can raise blood sugar a bit — something to watch if you’re low-carb.• Salt / Himalayan rock salt / celery salt powder: Electrolytes! Okay in moderation.Preservatives & Acidity Regulators:• Tartaric acid, phosphoric acid, sodium phosphate: Used to control pH and preserve freshness — safe in small amounts but found in processed foods, so best not to overdo.• Enzymes, ascorbic acid (Vitamin C): Good! Help with digestion and act as antioxidants.• Medium-chain triglycerides (MCTs): Healthy fats that support energy and metabolism. A nice bonus.

Just love it for my chicken noodle soup
I’ve been using Nutricost Chicken Bone Broth Protein Powder for a few weeks now, and I wanted to share my thoughts. First off, I really appreciate how easy it is to mix. I usually add it to my morning smoothies or stir it into soups, and it blends well without clumps. The flavor is pretty mild, which I actually like because it doesn’t overpower my recipes. It has a subtle savory taste that enhances whatever you’re making without being too salty or strong. I’ve noticed a nice boost in my protein intake, which is great for my workouts and recovery. One thing I noticed is that it has a good amount of collagen, which I’ve read is great for skin and joint health. Since I’ve started using it, my skin feels a bit more hydrated, although it’s hard to say how much of that is directly from the broth.Overall, Nutricost Chicken Bone Broth Protein Powder has been a solid addition to my diet. If you’re looking for a simple way to increase your protein intake without too much fuss, I’d definitely recommend giving it a try!

Hits the spot.
I’m not a health nut but I do pay attention to what I eat. I always focus on protein. If I’ve got two meal options, I will always pick the one with more protein.I usually have at least one Orgain shake per day. However, it’s been cold out and I find myself craving warm and savory foods.I used to buy organic bone broth from Costco but I haven’t been able to find it in store or online anymore.I stumbled upon this product. Good protein content, decent quality, and reasonably priced.I decided to try it out. Honestly, I’d prefer to have a powder alternative to buying liquid bone broth because the powder is better for the shipping carbon footprint. I hate shipping products that are mostly water if I can avoid it.Shipping was on time and product arrived in perfect condition. There’s a very pleasant and noticeable smell of chicken as soon as you open the container. I used a chopstick to fish out the scooper.I used my electric kettle for boiling water. Some reviews said they had clumping issues. Personally, I didn’t have any issues with clumping. I used water immediately from the kettle and used a spoon to press the few small clumps against the mug and they immediately dissolved without any more intervention needed. Just basic stirring technique.**Note: I prefer more water than the directions advise. This does impact dissolving in a positive way. If you use less water, YMMV.I waited for it to cool a bit and tried it without adding any spices. I found it very flavorful and satisfied that warm, savory craving.I do add a bit of salt to taste now. I have added black pepper but found that it had an unpleasant aftertaste with the broth.I’ve never experienced that kind of aftertaste change with the pepper I use. I tried a different pepper and had the same issue.I’m thinking the broth has a tinge of bitter aftertaste that I don’t notice unless I add pepper and it brings it to the forefront. Some reviews mentioned a bitter taste and I can only guess they’re more sensitive to whatever it is.Overall verdict: I will purchase this again and it is now my primary protein broth product. Knocked one star because I would like to be able to add pepper.

Not bad for the price. I would buy again
Why did you pick this product vs others?:I’ve bought this a couple of times because of the high protein and it tastes good. I spice it up and add an egg or 2 . It fills me up and gives me a lot of protein. It is a little hard to mix. It clumps up you gotta really work at it with a fork or spoon.
