My go to iodine supplement.
I love that this product is naturally derived and organic. I need to take high doses of iodine daily due to a thyroid disorder and this provides a much higher dose that the average iodine supplement as well. Also, in this day and age when we are all exposed to higher amounts of radiation (cell phones, computers, dirty electricity, etc.) and toxins, iodine supplementation is wise. I think this is one of the best iodine supplements out there for my purposes. Wish it were a little more affordable (what is these days?). I appreciate the clean and potent product and understand that you get what you pay for. I also love that this comes in a glass jar and not in plastic. I also appreciate the higher pill count and capsule form because it is more absorbable than a tablet and is more convenient than a liquid. This seems to be a real quality brand and I use several of their supplements with confidence. I also appreciate the ability to subscribe and save to both cut down on costs and keep from running out by forgetting to order.

Wow, what a game changer!I started taking this about a month ago, after hearing Dr Brownstein’s recommendations. (I HIGHLY recommend listening to him on YouTube, and buying his books here on Amazon.)I have had some painful cysts spontaneously growing through the years. I had a few removed, but was told by my doctor that “no one knows what the cause is” and that “there is no cure.”Well, I got tired of dealing with them, especially when one developed on the side of my knee joint. Ouch! So the search began.When I heard Dr Brownstein’s information on iodine deficiency and it’s relation to cysts, I was hopeful.I got these and took one a day of 250mcg. Well, they are shrinking! I listened to his recommendations again today and realized that I can easily up my dose. So, I will start taking 2 a day. So far so good. I love the natural source of this supplement. I will update later.Update:It’s been a while, and I’ve gradually increased my daily dose of iodine. After reading Dr Brownstein’s books on both iodine and UNREFINED salt, I’ve increased my use of them both, and have added the rest of the co-factors in his iodine protocol.The truth is, we need much more salt and iodine than we’ve been led to believe. I highly recommend those books, btw!(Salt Your Way to Health, and Iodine: What it is and Why You Need It, by Dr David Brownstein.)Still slowly but steadily getting results. Two out of ten cysts are almost completely gone.I should probably clarify:I switched from the 250 mcg to 1500 mcg, and settled on 2-4 of those per day, in addition to the Lugol’s liquid formula. The liquid is great and it’s easier to get enough milligrams, (not micrograms) but I love what this formula does for me, so I take them both. It seems to be benefitting me in other ways too, like stronger hair and nails and skin becoming more clear. It must be the sea veggies and other herbs that it contains.:)I think increasing the daily dose has resulted in a couple of the more stubborn cysts to start shrinking and draining. I felt slightly unwell for a couple days, even felt like I had a low grade fever, then lo and behold, one of the cysts sort of popped and started draining. It didn’t just shrink. It was the largest, most painful one I had, so no complaints there! Hmmm….that was interesting. It’s almost gone now. I think this stuff is even helping my body de-tox..

Helped me with PCOS and hypothyroidism
Got this to help with my pcos and hypothyroidism. So far it’s helping with constipation, hormonal imbalance, acne, digestion, and energy. Didn’t expect this to help all of my issues but been taking it for a week and I can say I feel different. Definitely less bloated, especially since I’ve been taking it with nac, and improved digestion. I also wake up with less inflammation, which usually I would’ve had to wear a castor oil pack to feel less inflamed in the morning.I’ve also read that it’s really important to take a supplement especially during or after pregnancy, which I’ve felt so depleted and didn’t know why until I started replenishing my body with nutrients, I didn’t realize what I was missing is iodine. Definitely recommend for any with pcos… it might help.
