Not bad for cod liver oil!
I take this to combat wintertime SAD and vitamin D depletion. I chase my dose with an orange or yogurt, but with the lemon flavoring, it’s not necessary. The oily sensation and slight fishy flavor and odor are unpleasant, as one would expect. But you do get accustomed to the taste and texture. It doesn’t linger on the palate. Unlike capsules, I find straight oil provides better value and does not cause fish burps.

Lemon hits you at the end, so if you try and take it like a shot, the burning from lemon will hit you at the back of the throat on occasion. However, it is consistently cheaper than Engelvaer’s plain flavor, so here we are. Very good, nice and oily. Weston A Price recommended for cod liver oil on a budget. Comes in a plastic container, some might say that’s bad (thinking of canola oil). But cheers to your health!

Excellent Value / Mild Taste
This is an excellent value at the current price of $16.99 for a 16 oz bottle. The taste has a subtle hint of lemon and isn’t overly ‘fishy’ at all. Most definitely a viable alternative to higher priced brands.

Works. Effective Easy to swallow. Its never going to taste good.
I take a shot glass a day in the morning and sometimes at night and I have notices less cracking and popping in my joints. I dont think its ever going to taste great, but Ive bought this same brand and flavor several times now and its effective and you eventually get used to the taste. I have a chaser ready and treat it just like a shot. I has a noticeable effect on my health. So I am happy with that. The price is good compared to what it costs in town or any other brand.
