A new supplement intended to increase recovery from Pure Encapsulations
I have used Pure Encapsulations for years and have been happy with their products. I recommend researching this supplement before taking it to confirm it will do what you want or expect. It is very easy to swallow and the quality of the capsules themselves seems fine. I took them with a recent workout and it did possibly increase my recovery but I am going to test again soon. This supplement contains 714mg of Niacin and 19mg of B6 which are both well above the RDA for these supplements. While it very well may perform as described, high doses of Niacin can stress the liver to be sure you are aware of potential side effects and do your research.

Trustworthy brand and good formula – recovery definitely feels smoother!!
In another review of a supplement, I once said that noticing a difference after just a few weeks would likely be a bad sign. I have to retract that now! I swear, my recovery after strength training has gone more smoothly since I started taking these. I also credit it with me feeling less awful the day after a long hike chasing some kidlets around! The pills don’t give me any stomach trouble or issues on the way down, with no off tastes or smells. This is a respectable brand who does their research, and I’m pleased with the effects versus the cost. I hope to be at maintenance rather than building strength soon, but I’ll definitely pick these back up if I run out before I’m content with my progress.

Not sure if this is making any difference yet
I’ve got to give this a 4 at the moment because I’m unsure if I am having the desired effects or not. Why I still give it a 4 is because Pure Encapsulation has proven to be a great company in the past and I trust their ingredients. When taking these I don’t notice any side effects. No flushing from the niacin or digestive problems.

Less sore the next day after exercising
I trust this brand above all others and have used different formulas from it for years. It been recommended to me both and MD and an ND at different times. The Muscle Repair was a new one for me, but meet the same high expectations as others. I’m over 50 and trying new sports, like paddleboarding recently, is hard on my body. I do feel like I was less sore the next day when I took this immediately after that first 2 hour session on the lake. I will definitely use again to speed recovery after overexertion.

The thing that drew me to this product is that it is for active adults and athletes interested in muscle support and repair. Pure Encapsulations is a well-known and quality brand that my family members have used and trust in the past, and I wanted to try this supplement. Although time will tell about its effectiveness (as is generally the case with supplements) the research states that the active ingredients are effective in healing, growing and regenerating muscle fibers in response to exercise. It contains niacinamide and pyroxidine, and I’ve read that in combintion these B vitamins stimulate muscle stem cell expansion and enhance regeneration during aging. I’m all for that! The capsules are relatively small, easy to swallow, no weird smell. If nothing else I am confident that it will benefit my general overall health and wellness.

Speeds up recovery time
I started taking these capsules to help with post-workout soreness, and noticed a difference in how quickly my muscles recover. Normally, I’d feel pretty stiff and achy for a couple of days after a bout of strength training, but since adding this into my routine, that soreness has been much more manageable and doesn’t last nearly as long.It feels like my body bounces back faster, which means I’m not dreading my next workout the way I used to. I haven’t changed anything else in my routine, so I’m confident this has been the main factor. I also like that it doesn’t upset my stomach or make me feel jittery like some supplements tend to.If you’re consistent with your workouts and want something that helps you recover a little smoother and faster, this is worth trying.

Easy to swallow but pricey.
I have noticed that this Muscle Repair does help with soreness if I take this supplement at least a couple of days before my activity and a few days afterwards. That means this bottle of 60 capsules will not last me very long. For me, taking 2 capsules after an activity didn’t really seem to do much. The ingredients are B6 and niacin (niacinamide). This is, however, somewhat pricey. I think ordering B6 and Niacin separately is more cost effective.
