AMAZING. Cured my chronic diarrhea
If I could give 10 stars, I would. This is the best probiotic I’ve ever taken. No crazy side effects other than a complete 180 in my digestive health. I was suffering with chronic diarrhea, cramping, bloating, and unable to eat most of the foods that I love the most. Within a couple of weeks of taking this (and not changing anything else in my diet) my diarrhea stopped completely. I don’t have any pain or cramping anymore. I’m now able to eat all of the yummy foods (and coffee!) that used to send me to the bathroom 8+ times a day. I was diagnosed with IBS and had been suffering for years to what seemed like no end. I’ve tried so many other probiotics and nothing worked. In fact, most probiotics I’ve tried in the past gave me terrible headaches and malaise. This probiotic is great because it contains microcrystalline cellulose – a compound that wraps the probiotics to keep them alive when passing through stomach acids. This slow-release function ensures that all of the GOOD bacteria are making it all the way through your digestive tract and releasing all of that good stuff along the way! In addition to that, the strains included are some of the most vital strains of bacteria to keep your digestive balance! If you are suffering from digestive distress and your doctors have recommended a probiotic — No need to look elsewhere. This one has it all. 10/10. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. I recommend this to everyone I know! Amazing product. I’ll never buy any other brand!

Good cost-effectiveness ratio for me…. also helped through antibiotic treatment
My acupuncturist/OMD recommended this (but at 50 mu dose). Tried 50 mu for a bottle, then switched to 30 mu for now at least a couple of months and don’t fell a difference (cheaper). The stuff works well for me. I have an autoimmune arthritis and seem to have stool problems with the disease or/and medications, with both diarrhea or constipation. These seem to help. I bought another brand, but these seem to work better, with better stool formation and less bouts of diarrhea, good improvement, but not perfect, but worth the cost for the benefit. Was just on a antibiotic regimen of ciprofloxicin + flagyl for 10 days and went through with no gastrointestinal problems. Overall pleased.PunMed search shows efficacy of Probiotics in particular IBS. Duration of treatment and best formulations (which bacteria) and dose appear to be still unknown. However, a study in 15 elderly patients showed positive effects on the immune system (by measuring natural killer cells in blood) at 3 weeks (Gill HS et all; search).A few notes/comments from the questions section (my last purchase in June 2018):-I cut a cap open, doesn’t look like sustained release, just powder in a vegetable capsule [correction web site says sustained release]- see pic attached.-The caps are vegetable and cellulose.-Storage 77F (25C) or below. Best if refrigerated.-Did not come shipped in a cooler.-Expiration date was 1-1/2 years from purchase date (11/2019)-Measured capsule to confirm 3/4 inch long and 1/4 inch across (on the large size)-Lists as: gluten, dairy, and soy free-Supplement Facts lists 11 strains, 4 Bifobacterium + 7 Lactobacillus strains = 11. However, there are 2 strains of B. cactus, thus 12 strains.-Duration of treatment to assess treatment effect unknown, but the study cited above suggests at least 3 weeks in elderly humans.

Could be what your body needs, everyone’s different
I have undiagnosed IBS and sensitive to random things. I get bloated and don’t always go everyday, tend to be constipated, and have stomach aches at night several times a week. I tried digestive enzymes but heard probiotics should work better for me. I started taking these and the first 2 weeks to my surprise were much worse, I was more bloated and gassy (apparently normal because your gut is ridding of the bad bacteria?) and then after that I noticed a small difference. I saw some reviews saying their symptoms were completely gone after days so I wanted to see more results. Getting bloated after dinner everyday turned to every other day, less constipated and went to the bathroom more easily. Everyone’s body is different so I’m committed to finding a better probiotic for me, but I’ll come back to this one if else fails.

I’ve tried probiotics before and I either didn’t notice them working or they actually made my bowel habits worse (ie made me more constipated). But these Renew Life ones are perfect! I weight lift so I eat a protein heavy diet which for me causes constipation and a lot of bloating. This might be TMI (sorry!) but I was experiencing bad constipation for a week and a half. I drank more water, tried eating more veggies/berries, adding more fats and fiber to my diet, but nothing helped, so I bought these a couple days ago, and already my bowel habits are much better and working smoothly, which is exactly what I needed. They are easy to swallow as they are a relatively small pill, there is no bad taste or smell. They actually smell a little citrusy out of the container which was pleasant! I feel great taking these and I highly recommend them to everyone who needs an extra boost for their gut! 🙂

I’ve placed 3 orders with Renew Life for Adult Probiotics and no problems until recent delivery. I was very surprised one bottle had EXPIRED four months ago – item received Jan’23 – bottle expired in Oct’22 Very disappointing to throw away $40 purchase. Doubtful I will buy from Renew Life again.
