How to use Scarfade Scar Removal Gel
We recommend using Scarfade twice daily (morning & evening). Reapplication may be appropriate when used on areas that receive frequent washing or are exposed to frequent rubbing. Apply Scarfade by squeezing a small amount onto the skin and massaging it in. You don’t need to use a large amount for it to be effective. It is believed that massaging the scar may aid the healing process, so if you have time it may be beneficial to spend a couple of minutes massaging the scar with Scarfade while applying it. Once applied, use a clean tissue or cloth to gently wipe away any excess buildup. A normal course of treatment with Scarfade is 12-16 weeks, or until improvement in the size & intensity of the scar are no longer noticed.
When to start using Scarfade Scar Removal Gel?
You can begin treatment with Scarfade once the wound has healed or stitches have been removed. The key point is that the skin should be closed.

Definitely flattens hypertrophic scars
After having reconstructive surgery on my breasts five years ago, I was left with hypertrophic scars on my areolas. Nothing, including steroid injections, seemed to help.After years of looking for an answer, I came across this product on Amazon. Decided to try it, knowing that it would probably be most effective for flattening my scars. There doesn’t seem to be any sort of fading ingredient in it.When I got it, I started applying it each morning. Then I covered the entire area with a square piece of cellophane. Then I put on my bra. I wore this 24/7 every day. It’s now been just over a month, and I’m happy to say that my hypertrophic scars are almost completely flattened! They are not, however, appreciably faded. In two weeks I’m going to have permanent makeup applied to bring back the symmetry I lost during this procedure.I’m thrilled with the results of ScarFade. Consistent, constant use seems to be the best route.

This Stuff Is Great!!
I bought this for my wife who had a tummy tuck done and she with in a month started to use this Hanson Medical Scarfade Scar Gel, and it is working really great for her the scar is really fading away fast. She tried the stuff in the store that comes in a yellow or silverfish box in the beginning and saw no results so she switched to the Hanson Medical Scarfade Scar Gel and with in about a week maybe two it was showing great results. My wife went in recently to see the Doctor who did the tuck on her was amazed at how the scar looked, she was using the cream he prescribed just not bought from him because he quadrupled or more the price of the cream and I found it on Amazon for little $$. So if the doctor was amazed and my wife is very satisfied what more need I say!!This is Sleepersteve!

Definitely recommend
I have very long, hypertrophic scars from a transplant surgery. Medical research (posted on the Internet) states that silicone has an approximate 80% efficacy rate. The highest of all other scar removal strategies. The medical research also said that silicone gel is as effective as silicone strips. I’ve been using three different types of silicone gel, and I can’t tell which one is best. Scarfade is, without question, the best value for the money.My scars were particularly bad. They were like thick, purple rope and painful when I moved. I’ve been using silicone gel for 5 months. It has worked extremely well. They are flatter, thinner, and, in some areas, almost the same color as my skin. I am so thankful these products are available.

Helped my cartilage piercing bump a lot
I’ve had a bump around the front of my cartilage piercing for a long time due to a very slow healing process. I used this product per the instructions (including a nice little massage at the scar location) and in less than a month saw results. Weirdly, the scar looked worse before it got better- it got larger and redder and kind of oozy, but one day when I was massing the scar product in the liquid came out, the scar shrunk, and it looks so much better.The scar will never go away completely, but it looks significantly flatter and is no longer round and shiny. I recommend this product for piercing problems!

Decent performance, but not outstanding.
I at least had some good luck with this product, as it did help fade out some of the redness of the scarred area and reduced some of the “scaliness.” However, it seems as though there is a “cutoff” in its efficacy after the skin reaches a certain point – once it has “predominantly” healed and the superficial layer of scar tissue goes away, it has a hard time targeting the “discolored” patch of skin. I have now tried another major name-brand product, and it actually seems to be gradually helping.So, in summary, I wouldn’t recommend this product alone – I’d use it early on to help the scar “superficially” heal, but then switch to another product for the final phases.

Great product
I used this product over 15 years ago i ordered out of maagazine for $16.95 i used thru 2 surgical procedures and was recommeneded by by Otolaringolgist, this product works wonderfully, you cant even see where the surgery was performed on my neck or on the side of my ear. I find myself buying it again for my most recent carpol tunnel surgery on my right hand. I want to ready when the stitches come out in a week and i will be ready to use the cream then. I ordered early, paid more this time but it is worth it I still have some left from 15 years ago.Happy customer

I used this product to help minimize my surgical scars years ago. It did a good job to minimize my scars. I bought it again most recently when I got 3 stitches above my upper lip. I have been using it for a couple of months and the scar is hardly noticeable.
