So I purchased this scar gel to try and get rid of some old scars, new ones and stretch marks. I have been using it for about 10 days now and can already see a difference. First off, I was unable to find it elsewhere, so here is the full ingredients list (see photo for proof): Silicone, Allantoin, Arginine, Vitamin E, Water, Carbomer, Phenoxyethanol, Dimethyl silicone polymer, Polydimethylsiloxane cross-linked polymer.Now for my review: I had a cosmetic procedure done a few weeks ago that has led to a scar that needs to be faded. It is in the phase where it is no longer healing; no more scabbing or fusing, just a scar. I was looking for something that wasn’t oil-based, had silicone and allantoin in it, and had no added fragrance. Silicone for skin health, allantoin because it is the main ingredient in most OTC scar cremes/gels + has a long history for successful scar treatment, and no fragrance because they are usually artificial and irritating to the skin. This stuff seems to be really solid. Has absolutely zero fragrance added which is amazing. Very professional for a clinical product meant to treat surgical scars. It smells like a clean doctor’s office. The product goes on very smoothly. It does not feel greasy at all but does have some ‘glide’ when applying so you can spread it evenly over the desired area. Once on, it soaks in very fast. After a few minutes I can’t even tell its there. Your skin really does like this stuff because it literally disappears and makes the area feel moistened and soft. I’m on week 2 of using this product. Hopefully after week 8 I see a noticeable reduction in scar definition. This in tandem with red light therapy, good diet rich in collagen, and some other oil-based topical treatments should do the trick. I like this enough that I have it on subscribe & save.
