Love this book, easy to understand and informative!

A lot of good information backed up by studies when available.
As a person with osteoporosis not interested in taking the drugs due to potential debilitating side effects, In received a lot of good options in this book. He goes into the natural way with diet, exercise, and supplements to help in rebuilding bone naturally. He’s done his research and offers what is currently known about these interventions. Very interesting read and I will incorporate many of his suggestions into my routine.

Lots to comprehend
It’s a pretty good book.

Well written, easy to follow excellent and many new insights.
Thorough review of osteoporosis & more than a few totally new data points, including scientific studies. My doctors have gone straight to prescriptions, which I want to avoid if at all possible. Yet, there they went, Rx pad in hand. This book has lots of good information that I will discuss with my doc. My docs may learn a bit from this book. My appointment is next week and Amazon got the book to me pronto, so I can be prepared to talk treatment options.I am a 79-year old male who has suffered from osteoporosis for years. (I am 6-inches shorter in the past 12-years. SIX!)

Excellent!
I learned an incredible amount and am now armed to do battle against my osteopenia diagnosis. This book gave me a complete understanding of how our bones and bodies actually work and what I can do to be healthier as I enter my final years.

Very informative!
I have recently been diagnosed with osteoporosis and tried the prescription route which caused a lot of the side effects mentioned in the book. This book has lot of very good information which I plan to implement instead of using prescriptions.

Excellent Book
I’ve read quite a few books on this subject. This book covers from how osteoporosis occurs and why, what vitamin and minerals to take and how they work, and the best foods to support a heathy bone structure. I thought it was well written and easy to understand. The book also focused on overall health including diet and exercise and not just taking calcium. I liked that approach since it doesn’t focus on just taking a pill. This is a good read for people with osteoporosis and younger people so they learn how to take care of themselves now and help prevent it or limit the impact of osteoporosis in their older years.

No info on Strontium benefits
Large print. Not as thorough as expected. No research included for Strontium which definitely helps bone. Advises a useless, miniscule amount.

Highly recommend reading this book if you are worried about or already have osteoporosis. Packed with valuable information.

First of all I would like to congratulate the author for a brilliantly written book. I liked the philosophy of the book which emphasises on food, nutrition and exercises for a good bone health. I personally believe that it’s the food that heals not the medications. We do require medications as an aid but not as an alternative to the food we eat. Many people think if they get an illness they just have to take some medicines and it will be cured. This myth has been highlighted and backed up well with statistics in this book. It is always best to cure/treat any illness in the most natural way possible and with minimal medications. Best part of the book is that it encourages the readers, gives a lot of hope, presents the statistics well, warns about things to be done/not done and suggests practical solutions. I strongly felt this would benefit any person/patient willing to improve their bone health and general health as such. And I would like to emphasise that a reader should go through the material carefully and many times if necessary as some things that apply to one person/patient may not apply to the other, especially physical exercises. And I suggest a reader should always start out slowly and carefully with any diet or exercise plan to see it’s appropriateness in their lifestyle. That said it is a very nicely written book and I enjoyed reading it. Many thanks to the author and best wishes…

A very well written, clear and informative book. The author explains the downsides of medication very clearly, as he also does with the uses of supplements and the crucial benefits of a diet and exercise. Since my osteoporosis diagnosis last year I have read several books on the holistic path of treatment and this one is the first to prioritise vegetables over vast amounts of animal protein and makes sense to me. As a 79 year old petite person with a small appetite I have been following the diet/supplement/exercise routine under guidance of a trainer but have found it quite impossible to consume the vast amount of meat and fish generally recommended and still eat a healthy diet – plant proteins being mainly discounted in many books. This path needs a lot of personal research as no two bodies are the same. I have found it helpful to read as many as possible and I really recommend this book.
