Will Calm Any Irritation
This serum is very soothing and will calm down any irritation. I also use this on my head after I finish shaving. It cools down my skin and is very soothing. I’ve already repurchased and plan to make this a permanent part of my skincare regimen.

Great value, hydrating serum
This serum is such a great deal for a quality Korean skincare product. It’s super hydrating, and since I know cica is anti-inflammatory and promotes healing, I feel confident using it. It definitely doesn’t flare up my acne or irritate my skin. It provides plenty of hydration without feeling heavy or sticky. I really love this serum!

Lovely Cooling Serum
This AVCA “True Calming Cica Tea Tree Soothing Serum” feels nice when applied. No irritation to my sometimes-sensitive skin, which I really appreciate. It is a slightly thicker serum and when you spread it on, it doesn’t absorb in quickly, it spreads in a slippery manner and lies on the surface, with a wet feel to it initially that adds to the cooling effect of it. Eventually, after a few minutes it absorbs in a bit better. It does leave a bit of a rich, slightly sticky feel to your skin after using, that I am not certain I like. Serums like this, however, are meant to be followed up with a daily moisturizer with SPF, or your night cream, and you don’t usually just use serum and stop there, so your next lotion sort of puts another layer overtop of it, and diminishes the sticky feel of this. This serum has just a hint of a fresh herbal or fruity scent to it. The smell is so minimal you don’t notice it unless you are actively smelling for it. It is very pleasant, I really like how this serum smells. I don’t see any obvious fragrances listed on the ingredients, so I think this is just the scent of the natural ingredients that go into this. Also, I do not see any parabens listed in the ingredients, which I am very relieved about. This is a generous sized serum bottle (plastic, if you were wondering about that) at 3.38 fl oz. This serum is made in South Korea.

I have used this the most in my routine to my my get slim back to feeling clean more hydrated. With the gel serum smells like cucumber mainly can feel the green tea with cica helping increase the calming effect.

Minimal results
I have pretty dry and sensitive skin, so I have been leaning towards products that has a calming effect. I thought this serum had a light gel-like texture with a slight tea tree scent that felt a little soothing on my skin. It wasn’t as lightweight as I thought it would be, so the serum absorbed at an OK rate and I actually felt like my skin felt like there was residual product on my skin after using it. After using this daily for the past week, I did notice that some of my skin redness went down, but also that my skin felt a little more dry than normal. No issues with my skin getting irritated, just a little more dry which doesn’t really help with my dry skin. I’ve not seen any other results, so I’m not sure the serum is worth trying even though it’s on the affordable side.

Cica tea tree ampoule
I love the AVCA skincare brand. They have never disappointed me! If you’re new to Korean skincare, you are probably confused about what an ampoule is. Forget the pharmaceutical meaning – in Korean skincare an ampoule is like a serum. It’s potent and not meant to be used daily forever. I use this under my daily face lotion. It’s water based, which is great for my oily skin. It goes on light and absorbs quickly, leaving no greasy residue. I like the fun dropper top instead of a pump. I’m always frustrated when I can’t get the last remnants of a pump bottle. This dropper will be great for getting the last bits. It has a very light and fresh scent that’s sort of grassy and floral. I really love the way it smells.
