Very nice Elderberry product. I’ve taken this when needed, and as a preventative measure as people get colds around me. By doing so, the duration of my cold is shorter than those I know who don’t use this stuff. The sleep herbs help get a restful sleep, and the more good sleep you get, the quicker your body heals from anything thrown at it. Cheers to this immune boost of tasteyness! Slightly grany in comparison to other syrups I’ve had, but, I feel it’s because they are more legit ingredients. Enjoy the fruits of nature people and thrive forward! Have to put it in the fridge after opening, and to be honest the chill is a nice addition.

Fairly decent elderberry taste, great ingredients
So don’t expect this to taste like straight elderberry syrup, it has lots of other things added. But it’s still not bad, dominantly elderberry flavor, though you get a hint of metallic (from the zinc) and other herbs. I think they did a pretty good job covering the taste of the other things.This is not a knock-you-out kind of sleep support, no melatonin or anything like that. It just has valerian, chamomile, lemon balm, things like that. I take these things during the daytime sometimes, to ease stress or tension.The quality and souring of the ingredients is what draws me to Garden of Life. Everything here is organic and also made from whole foods, not synthetic vitamins or ingredients. This is extremely important to me.So I think these ingredients do help shorten the life of cold/flu, and for general immune support. It also helps take the edge off a sore throat from post nasal drip or something like that. Though it you have a throat infection there are better things to take.

I’m not prepared to say this has given me better sleep. I’m not prepared to say it hasn’t. I haven’t really noticed any change.The taste took a little time to get used to. I actually found it quite strong tasting, but it could be that I was unfamiliar with the flavor in general.Important to note is that you MUST refrigerate this after opening to keep it fresh.

I’ve taken supplements from this manufacturer before. I trust them as I have always had good results. They are more transparent than most in terms of how they are tested for purity. The fact that this elderberry syrup is organic is just icing on the cake.By now, just about everyone knows about how important black elderberry, or sambucas, is in these days of being in a pandemic.This syrup not only contains the extract, but also a juice concentrate. It’s further beefed up with cherry and Viking berry extract. Viking berry, also known as aronia, is rather astringent, keeping this from being a sweet syrup.And as far as relaxing you in the evening or when you need sleep, chamomile, lemon balm, and valerian are all powerful agents to assure some calm and rest.I happen to like the flavor, but taste is subjective. It’s sort of berry and citrus. Not super sweet.Take it about half an hour before bedtime, and don’t forget to put the bottle in the refrigerator. There are no preservatives keeping this fresh. Only natural extracts that are effective in keeping the syrup fresh and safe.It really does work so I hope you’ll give it a try.
