My hair looks beautiful after applying just a small amount. I had my doubts but I swear by it. Any curly hair type can use it. It leaves a wonderful smell as well as defined curls and only the volume you want. So little volume if you let it air dry without touching or bigger volume if you scrunch about 5 to 10 minutes after applying.

This Mielle Organics Pomegranate & Honey Leave-In Conditioner has quickly become a holy grail in my hair routine. I have thick, coily Type 4 hair, and it’s always been a struggle to find a product that actually moisturizes and detangles without leaving buildup. This leave-in glides through my hair with ease, makes detangling painless, and leaves my curls soft, juicy, and bouncy. The scent is absolutely divine—fruity but not overpowering. Its natural ingredients are great.What I love most is that it truly locks in moisture without weighing my hair down. It works well alone or layered under a curl cream or gel. After consistent use, I’ve noticed less breakage and fewer frizz issues, especially on humid days. If you’ve got thick curls or coils, this product is well worth trying. Just don’t use too much—it’s rich and concentrated!

Technically this product is marketed towards thicker type 4 hair, but I say it works well for other hair types too if used properly. I have fine, medium density, low porosity, 3C curls that I usually wear in blow outs and twist outs. I only use this leave in conditioner whenever I wear wash and go’s or mini twists. When I wear mini twists, I literally only use this product to twist my hair and seal my ends with an oil; my hair stays moisturized for days! I love the consistency and smell (which BTW – if you’re sensitive to smell, this stuff lingers, *in the best way possible*, but be mindful before purchasing). It doesn’t weigh my hair down and it layers well with other products. The only reason why I gave it 4 stars is because I can’t use it as my general leave in conditioner. Whenever I’ve tried using it before blow drying my hair straight or to set my twists (for a twist out), it actually dries my hair out. So through trial and error, I’ve figured out how to use it best for my own hair. I say it’s worth trying for yourself if you’re looking for a new leave in. What curly girl isn’t a product junkie? 🙂
