This is my first experience with berberine. I read that it had similar effects as popular weight loss meds like Ozempic or Wegovy. This is how I found out about berberine. My insurance is denying all the medications for weight loss so I decided to try this out.I started taking them Feb. 8, 2025. This review is being written April 1, 2025. In that time I’ve lost ~50 pounds. Which sounds like a lot, but I’m a VERY large man. So don’t get too excited. Along with starting to take berberine I adjusted my diet significantly (this is probably the most important part). I completely cut out carbs and sugar (not counting apples and bananas, other fruit). I increased the protein and veg intake. NO BREAD!!! NO DESSERTS!!! NO SODIE POPS!!!Over time I found that I do not crave food as much. I feel full sooner. My food intake has decreased quite a bit. Taste buds have changed and food tastes better. Milk is sweet now. Its all very exciting.Now, all this does come with a price. Like many others have expressed there is a slight bit of stomach discomfort. I’ve felt nauseous and have had to run to the bathroom multiple times and it wasn’t to vomit. Whatever came out of me was from the depths of Hell. It was NOT solid. It is the total opposite of solid, if you catch my drift. And at first, I didn’t read the symptoms and made mistakes but over time you start to feel it before it happens. So, it IS manageable. However, I would not take this on a road trip, a long movie/play, at work, school, etc… Unless you can handle a stream of waste that feels like your butt is a super soaker. So, there is risk involved. Everyone will react differently.All in all, I will continue taking this. I feel like the benefits outweigh the gastric drawbacks. I am ready to lose another 50 pounds and then some.My advice… try it out. You might be surprised.

Satisfied with Product
I did my research on berberine after my lab results showed my insulin levels at 27 making me high insulin resistant. I changed my diet no carb or sugars (to very minimum almost nothing) and I just had my labs done again, my Insulin level went down to 14. Very happy with that. I was also able to finally drop some lbs. (14 lbs in about a month and half) before I had struggled to lose weight even while on semiglutide. No other side effects.Pills are big but easy to take. My capsules also got to me pretty stuck to each other BUT THEY ARE GEL LIKE COVERED so get them out of mailbox as soon as theyre delivered. No taste, no after taste. So far so good. Really happy with my purchase.

Most Effective At Reducing Blood Sugar That I’ve Tried
I’m Type-2 diabetic along with being a kidney stone former for many years now.I’m conscientious about watching my diet for both.Since cinnamon is extremely high in oxalates (they combine with calcium to form the most common type of kidney stone) I avoid cinnamon; which eliminates buying berberine combined with it.So I’ve focused on the top quality name-brands with high numbers of 4.4 and higher ratings and have tried 4 or 5 of them.This version of NOW berberine/MCT oil, I’ve found causes the biggest drop in my blood sugar level tested 1-1/2 hours after taking one pill.Since tissue damage begins at a 200 blood glucose level, that’s a hard stop for me that I keep below.And typically I target keeping it below 130 on average.Its tough since I love all manner of sweets, but I absolutely will keep my blood sugar levels controlled, this product definitely assists in doing this.I’ve had my tested blood sugar level drop as much as 60 points when I test myself after accidentally getting above an acceptable level.I’m now on my 12th bottle.When the bottle arrives I’ve always been able to get the pills to break apart from each other by a sharp hit of the bottle into my palm, but I’m in NE Ohio not a southern state.I hope this helps someone. Allergic Reaction
I usually do not write reviews, but this was important enough to mention. After taking this supplement, my body broke out in hives, and I believe I am allergic to it. The process of elimination helped me figure that one out. So, if you decide to take this, be mindful of how your body reacts. I still rated it a four out of five because I believe it was helping me with my sugar levels, but unfortunately, my body did not like it.

This is worth the money I spent for it. I bought a different brand and was disappointed as the effectiveness was much better in the NOW brand. I could really tell a difference in the health benefits in this brand; it helped lower my liver enzymes.

Awesome Supplement
It’s only been a week, but I can already tell a difference. I only took one pill a day to make sure I could take it. My stomach just hurt one morning then nothing after that. I take one after every meal. It has improved my mood and too early to tell about the weight and my a1c yet.
