Thorough, non-drying, gentle cleanse
Paula Bergoun’s books, from what I can recall, espoused a facial cleanser that can take off every bit of makeup. As much as I devoted myself to her findings, this was one thing I didn’t believe in or even try. I have relied on cleansing oils, balms and, old faithful, Ponds cleansing cream before reaching for my facial cleanser at night. Honestly, this can make the prospect of makeup removal something to moan about at the end of a day when there’s no romanticizing it as a relaxing self care ritual. So one night I just tried it. I splashed water on my face and thoroughly rubbed in a pump or two of this Vanicream cleanser and, maybe this is the trick, wiped it off with my wet bamboo washcloth before rinsing with water. I paid attention to rubbing off my mascara and under my eyes in the process and when I went over my eyes with micellar water there was barely anything on the pad. And when I went over my face with a toner filled pad, it came away clean. So, this is a great way to eliminate clutter in your bathroom and to save money. It also makes packing for travel so much less complicated. Yes, I will use a balm, oil or cream when I feel like it but I don’t *have* to. Your mileage may vary depending on how much of a beat you wear, of course.If you need lather to prove a cleanser is working, this might not be for you. It has never stung and I haven’t had any painful inflammation or sensitivity using it. It doesn’t leave my skin moisturized but it doesn’t strip it either. It’s really a great buy.

Vanicream is Amazing
I have re-purchased this facial cleanser at least five times now. The quality is amazing. It’s so gentle and it cleans my face and I never have any skin tightness after using it. It’s great for sensitive skin and I am a lifetime user. The best way to describe its appearance is a cream cleanser. It does foam up, but not too much. It’s just the right amount.I also love Vanicream products for my little ones.

Better than CeraVe for Eczema-Prone Skin, Packaging Needs Work
I switched to this Vanicream face wash after getting rashes around my eyes from the CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser. I have sensitive, eczema-prone skin. So far, the usual irritation and rashes after washing my face are gone. I also like that it doesn’t leave a sticky, lotion-like film or that squeaky-dry feeling. Some cleansers I tried before cracked my laugh lines and caused blisters, but this one doesn’t.One thing I should mention is that there was some leakage from the product due to a loose cap, even with the plastic ring protector. Unfortunately, it messed up other items in the same package. Wish Amazon can check to make sure the lid is tightly closed before shipping.

This stuff is great! Been using it for years. I would give it a 4.2 out of 5 as it cleanses skin well without irritants, but doesn’t really add anything beneficial back into it. Great price for the amount. It foams just the right amount without being artificial, if that makes sense.

For the girlies with sensitive skin, eczema, psoriasis and rosacea like myself this is safe!!! I try not to use it every day because it can be drying but I got the lotion to go with it and it’s such an excellent combo I recommend!

Surprisingly great
This is very moisturizing, yet foams up well. I mean you get suds when you go to wash your face, and it cleans your skin well. It’s not overly creamy and slightly greasy like some of the sensitive skin cleansers.

I have been using this cleanser for a long time and I am really satisfied. Using it in the morning can gently remove the oil secreted by the skin at night, and the skin feels refreshing but not dry. At night, I usually use makeup remover to remove makeup first, and then use this cleanser for secondary cleaning. It will not irritate the skin around the eyes or cheeks, and the skin will be soft, clean and comfortable after washing. Its push-type pump head is very convenient to use, and the dosage is just right every time, so it will not be wasted or spread everywhere.This cleanser performs very well in the daily skin care process. Whether it is cleansing in the morning and evening or cleaning after makeup removal, it is very gentle and reliable. If you are looking for a non-irritating and cost-effective cleansing product, I strongly recommend it!
