I have been struggling with some situational anxiety that has resulted in racing thoughts, loss of sleep, grinding teeth, muscle tension, tightness of chest, and headaches. Anxiety has been a struggle of mine for years, but the physical symptoms started getting bad last year after starting my internship as a therapist. (Ironic right?) After awhile, my symptoms got better on their own and stayed away for quite a while… Until 2 months ago. I started a new job, started wedding planning, moved across the state, and boom the symptoms were back with a vengeance. I tried every relaxation/coping skill in the book and nothing even phased it. It felt like an elephant was constantly sitting on my chest. At night my thoughts would race through my head. I couldn’t sleep. I started grinding my teeth… that got so bad my jaw constantly ached. My doctor confirmed my blood pressure was normal. Technically I was fine. I saw this stuff on amazon and ordered it because of the good reviews. I must admit I was a little disappointed. Don’t get me wrong this product definitely has some perks, but I’m not so sure it’s the miracle product the reviews made it out to be.The Good: Better Sleep, helped with the teeth grinding slightly, helped with muscle tension someNo effect on: Headaches, racing thoughtsThe Bad: Slow to take effect (when it says take at dinner it means it), not that powerful (I always had to take 2 to feel any effect, sometimes 3), short duration (since I was having to take 2 to feel effect, I would like to see effects last longer. With only 60 supply, that’s less than a month of ONLY night time use. It would be nice to either see increased potency or more quantity so that one could have the option of continuous use with one bottle.)The bottom line: I would recommend this as it did help with my anxiety symptoms some (I would say they were at an 8 an now they are at a 6); however, I think for the price point, it could be much better!

My anxiety is under control and I can sleep without anti anxiety meds
I apologize my review is a bit long but I feel it is important to explain how my situation was and the areas ZEN has helped improve.I have been taking anti anxiety meds for 8 months now because I had insomnia for two years and was diagnosed with anxiety disorder. Although the meds worked to calm me and i could sleep, I felt fatigued most of the time but i did not relate this to the medication at that time. I also went to see my doctor because I started not sleeping again some nights and at the same time would not cope very well with stress at work which is a lot! My doctor advised increasing the dose to double. This is when i started seeking alternatives as i did not want to be overdependent on these meds. I purchased this product first because it contained the B complex and then the positive reviews from people who had suffered from anxiety.When I received it i immediately stopped the medications i was taking for anxiety (I do not recommend this to anyone without doctors supervision, i took a personal risk) The first week i did not sleep very well, i would wake up in the middle of the night and not get sleep until early hours of the morning as my body was already used to the meds . I stuck with it for some reason and by the middle of the second week I was sleeping like a baby. After week 3 i noticed that i would fall asleep, stay asleep until morning. The other plus is that my fatigue is gone, I rise early and i find myself eager to make breakfast for my family and feel like i have more energy at work. Lastly the stress at work does not get me down like it use to. I am now ordering another two bottles so that i do not run out! Anxiety had become the center of my life but now i feel i have my life back and i would highly recommend ZEN. I hope my review can help someone, just like the other reviews helped me find this awesome product!

Good quality, easy to swallow, no side effect, value
I used to buy Shaklee Products: For my sleeplessness issue I used one of the following: 1)”Stress Relief Complex,” containing a blend of L-Theanine, Ashwagandha, Beta-Sitosterol, L-Tyrosine” to help occasional sleeplessness;” 2) Dream Serene,” containing Melatonin, a blend of Valerian, Lemon Balm and L-Theanine. All Shaklee products are excellent. However, their products are pricey. My preference was “Dream Serene” which helped me fall alseep on occasional sleepless nights within an hour after taking one of the above. Last week, I ran out of Shaklee Dream Serene.I searched via Amazon and found “ZEN Supplement Facts,” which contains Ashwagandha Root Extract, Lemon Balm Aerial Parts 10.1 Extract, Passionflower, Bacopa extract, Rhodiola root extract, L-Theanine, Hawthorn Leaf, Hops Flower Extract, Black Pepper fruit Extract, among others. I compared Zen’s ingredients with Shaklee’s products and bought it @ inexpensive price. Last night, I was awaken until midnight. I took 1 capsule of ZEN product for the first time, but it took about 2 hours to fall asleep. Then I woke up around 4 a.m. It may be too early to assess its effectiveness.

Expiry date 2024. Repeat purchase as it seems to help in my anxiety. Amazon US needs to better protect the package. Boxes are torn.
